Anyone who has set up a business knows that a business plan is obsolete from the moment that it is printed. At best it helps create a centre or a vision for the business, however when the brain becomes attached to a concept it loses its ability to problem solve in an innovative manner. For this reason IEA, the Innovation agency behind WECREATE NYC, has developed tools for a flexible business model, which will help move your business forward while leaving room for innovative problem solving.
Key Topics:
- Tools for business strategy
- Find the core of your business to create sustainability faster
- How the brain views planning and its psychology
About the Speaker

She is also exploring energy and quantum physics in an aim to understand how the brain works, how we perceive things, and how to encourage success in the idea implementation process.

On March 23rd we quietly organized the first ever Digital DUMBO held outside of the United States in Valencia, Spain – Digital DUMBO Valencia. Over 100 people attended to network and hear presentations from four presenters:
- Andrew Zarick – Co-Founder, Digital DUMBO
- Daniel Casal – Founder, Arroba (recently acquired by Young & Rubicam)
- Vicente Ros – Professor of Advertising and Online Media at CEU Valencia
- Javier Ortiz – Director of Marketing for DCIP Consulting
Digital DUMBO Co-Founder, Andrew Zarick, was in attendance to discuss the growth of innovation in DUMBO, the spirit of Digital DUMBO, and how Digital DUMBO might serve as a platform for building a stronger digital culture in Spain – a country that is ranked 5th in Europe for time spent online, but only 24th in Europe for the size of it’s digital economy.
The event was a massive success and served as a strong proof of concept that creating a platform that showcases local talent and companies, educates the community, and facilities idea exchange and collaboration can not only be successful within the DUMBO community, but in other communities around the world.
We are working on solidifying our model in hopes that Digital DUMBO can work to build stronger digital ecosystems that lead to stronger digital economies in other locations outside of Brooklyn and New York. As these new communities develop, Digital DUMBO will work to better integrate these ecosystems online as well as off to foster new business opportunities for members within our communities.
A special thanks and shout out to the Digital DUMBO Valencia organizers and the first international host sponsor, Comuniqualis.

Remember that moment about a month and a half ago when you were making your way across the frozen tundra to another Digital DUMBO, thinking “If only I had Tiger Blood, I would be so much warmer.” Well, that moment has arrived! Spring weather is here and now we are all suddenly feeling as if we are made of Tiger Blood and ready to be in the company of New York’s finest digital thought leaders. And yes, even we are attempting to capitalize on Mr. Sheen! After all, he is hiring a social media intern.
Digital DUMBO, in conjunction with infrastructure provider NYI, is proud to present Spring Forward, an evening whose only agenda is having a good time. There will be themed cocktails and commemorative t-shirts brought to you by Brooklyn- based designer Kayrock Screenprinting.
If NYI sounds familiar, that’s because you probably know them for providing colocation, dedicated servers, managed services and other infrastructure support to the likes of Meetup and RollingStone.com. NYI is also the company you see at the top of the charts whenever there’s a list of the best hosting and data center providers.
In addition to one-of-kind t-shirts, all Digital DUMBO attendees will also be entered into a special raffle for the chance to win cool tech gifts from Digital Dumbo’s own Etsy. As always, the sound system will be spinnin’ your favorite tracks and there will be a free beer and wine bar!
