Senior Accountant, Virtue

Vice Media seeks a motivated, experienced accountant to join our VIRTUE group team. The ideal 

candidate will have a CPA/ CPA eligible and public accounting experience. This position will support the 

Associate Director of Virtue Finance and involve a mix of month-end close functions, technical analysis, 

and business support.

The Person


Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or other business related field required. [Graduate degree

in Accounting or similar subject matter is highly desirable.] CPA certified or path to CPA is required.


  • 3-4 years of professional experience
  • Public / Private accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting required
  • Experience communicating accounting issues and determinations to senior level managers
  • Strong excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply accounting guidance to new and varied types of transactions

  • Job Duties

  • Managing general ledger as it relates to VIRTUE group accounting issues
  • Analyzing the accounting, and preparing closing journal entries
  • Assist in month and close and prepare reconciliations
  • Prepare month end management financials
  • Providing ad-hoc reports to managers to assist with managing project budgets
  • Coordinating with finance contacts for Vice’s international offices on issues related to non-US entities
  • Other duties as needed
